Definitely Magical! I enjoy the way you painted the mist and your use of color . There is mystery, depth, and a transcendental quality. Thank you for complimenting my work a couple of months ago. Sorry it took so long to respond.

Artist's Description

This painting depicts a place high in the mountains and shows a cowboy and guide looking off into the distance. Thie use of a monocular would indicate that the cowboy is searching for something or someone specific. The outcrop...a combination of rock and soil took the shape of a saddle without my realizing it until the painting was finished. It seemed to fit. The waterfall, the season, and the height all contribute to the clouds (fog) snaking its way through and around the hills.

About Myrna Walsh

Myrna Walsh

The first thing I should say here is to thank my husband for his encouragement, and support. I would not be able to learn and improve without him. About my painting...I am self taught, or I should say self teaching. I have watched art lesson programs on the PBS channel, and I have bought books. I will keep working at it because it I love it so much. I am so happy to have a spot on this website with so many talented people. I have taken many pictures over the years. I find I like that a lot too, though I began taking pictures so that I had lots of art reference. I will be posting some of my favorites here.
